The cards and gifts we received here for Christmas at our studios both in the UK and US are as ever, a testament to your overwhelming generosity to us all. It made a wonderful display around our Christmas Tree and took the girls hours to distribute amongst themselves; such wonderful gifts and so very kind of you all. It struck me that so very many of the cards were not only celebrating Christmas but were filled with Thank You messages. Your appreciative comments of the wonderful work that goes on here and hearing of how your lives have been enhanced by the services we perform and how brilliant you think we are as a team (of which you are part), continually overwhelms me. The wonderful hearts that our clients have and sharing your thoughts with us is a gift that lifts our spirits one and all; again it would be hard to express what you all mean to us save that the hard work and effort we spend on everyone enriches and inspires us in equal measure. The girls are always excited by your joy and reaction to what they have done with and for you. I was nearly in tears at our Christmas party when one after another said how much they loved working together at Lucinda Ellery, I am so blessed to have such an amazing team that really cares about their work and performance, it's not for nothing that I call them angels. I want to finish off by telling you how grateful I am to each and everyone for being in my life for those in my team; staff and clients alike; to my family and for the ability that I am lucky enough to posses the ability to make my own, and the ones in my care, all the better for being here so thank you and I wish you a HAPPY and HAIRY NEW YEAR. LUCINDA ELLERY VISION AND VIEW FOR 2014 LUCINDA, GOING INTO 2014 DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR HOW WE CAN MAKE 2014 THE BEST YEAR TO DATE? 2014 is a very special year, there is a growing perception of the unity and a rise in consciousness of the connection we all have as earthlings to each other and our beautiful planet that we all are lucky to be a part of. It is true that for most of us life in the mundane, can be a daily slog of working to feed and look after ourselves and our loved ones; to pay the bills, shop, cook, clean and nurture those in our lives and we often forget to  do this for ourselves. It is very important for our well being to become more aware of our inner world, the unseen part of our nature, the part where our thoughts reside, I can't express how important and wonderful it can be to take some time out and find moments when we can enrich and develop our inner most understanding of what it's all about... stretching our imagination and reconciling the three parts of our nature helps us focus and enjoy our every day life in a whole and fulfilling life. The law of attraction supposes we are what we think we are, so I would ask all my lovely ladies to start believing, the sky is the limit for 2014 so let’s start thinking great things. YOU ARE TRULY AN INSPIRATION TO MANY AROUND YOU, WHAT GIVES YOU HOPE AND INSPIRATION? We are what we THINK we are. If you haven't already seen it rush out and get THE SECRET by Rhonda Byrne.... For those that are just starting out to look at their world within it is an incredible and inspirational tool and can awaken a huge awareness in our hearts that life doesn't need to be so tough and if it isn't tough for you it can be even better. As I write this sitting outside in my LA home, the sun is shinning, the sky's are blue, the grass sprinklers tinkeling on the lawn, and I feel so lucky, every day I watch out for things to remind me how lucky I am ..even when the lights turn green one after another when I am driving I remember to say to my self and feel it how very lucky I am ... I feel greatfull all day for everything ... When one of the girls makes me a cuppa or I see a smile on peoples faces as they swish their hair around or they get it when I show them how to use a round brush on their fringe or the crown of their hair for lift ..these may be simple things but there is nodoubting the power of joy happiness and appreciation the little things add to my life ..I really get that what I FEEL attracts into my life more of the same..... In LA we have an adorable girl with TTM (Since she was 3 years old she is now in her early 30's) she has a top banking job, is pretty and fit but was pretty negative and the girls, although they could see past her vibe they were not getting much joy doing her hair. Every time I saw her I asked her (I could feel she hadn’t) have you seen the secret...the last time, I raised my eyes to the heavens when she said she had not had a chance to get it yet. Maybe that was the catalyst, but the very next day she bounced in a totally different woman. She had indeed watched it, made her dream board and she radiated positivity and joy. It really was a totally different young lady sitting in the chair for two tie downs. We all looked at each other and said wow who was that incredible person... So if you haven't seen it (because you haven't had time, the inclination or been bothered or knew about it  ) GET IT ....as I say time and time again if you think it's crap I will buy it from you in a heartbeat. Watch it constantly, ...for some it will seem quite superficial ..Rhonda clearly made it for the masses and wanted to make money, don't we all. But if you watch it and SEE it, listen to it and HEAR it (totally different frequencies) it may just launch your life into a totally different way of being. You mention the secret in your work a lot, for those who have already watched the secret what else would you recommend to further learning? For those that have got it already ...you may want to check out GREGG BRADEN ...he is a scientist, a biologist and a deeply spiritual man and fills in the gaps between all of it.... A bit mind boggling but inspirational and very deep. Well worth checking out ...for those of us that want more out of life, a better job, home, relationships, health, these modules are a massive help for going WITHIN to maximize (or even be aware of) our true POWER and things we are capable of achieving. ANYTHING that improves our own lives and those of our loved ones and the people we interact with.. has got to be good. Make this the year that you GET CONNECTED to everything that helps make this a better world for our selves and everyone else... Dear Lucinda I was looking at my hair in the mirror today and it finally hit me after almost a year, that your salon in London has created a miracle. I first came to see you in January of last year. I was feeling totally zapped of confidence as I was losing my hair at the front at a very rapid pace. I had suffered from alopecia for about twenty years and my hair had come and gone in phases. Sometimes it looked okay, other times it looked awful. But when I hit the menopause it began to deteriorate more than ever. My confidence hit rock bottom and I no longer wanted to go out socially with friends and family, although I still went to work as a necessity. I did wonder what colleagues thought, but they very kindly never said anything about the loss of my hair. Then I read an article in a magazine about your salon and looked it up on the internet. I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first but I could not believe the results of the other women on your website. Their looked wonderful and the before and after photos were amazing. Could my hair look like theirs? Could I finally have my full head of hair back to how it used to be when I was younger? I could not stop thinking about it and talked to my husband. He agreed that I should make an appointment to see you. So I did and came to see Chris at your London salon. He was great and talked me through everything,. Showing me a sample and also making me a rather nice latte. Really I had nothing to lose and so made an appointment to have the Intralace System for the next month. The day approached and I felt apprehensive. I didn’t know what to expect. My husband, knowing how much it meant to me, had paid the initial payment and I was sitting on the train thinking that I hoped I wasn’t about to waste his money on something that was never going to work. But I also thought about my meeting and how everyone was so professional and encouraging and walked into your salon full of hope. It took all day…. I watched the process but didn’t really understand how I could go from having almost no hair at the front to having a full head of hair. All the girls at the salon were friendly and professional. They did an amazing job and the end of the day, a totally different person stared back at me in the mirror. This person looked younger and more confident. I walked down the street feeling strange. For the first time in over 20 years I had a full head of hair again. I was a bit shell shocked. Both my husband and son were amazed. My friends were amazed. My sister actually cried and said that the old me was back. Me? I hated it. I had too much hair now. It looked false. It looked like it wasn’t mine. I cried. I phoned Miriam. She listened to me, listened to me being upset and was concerned. She made a special appointment for me to come in to have my hair washed and styled again. It felt better, it looked better. I went home happier. Miriam phoned me to see how I was feeling and I told her I was happier but I was still getting used to it. She understood how I was feeling and explained that it was normal but said give it time and I would never look back. It has been almost a year now from that first visit and truly it has taken me this long to come to terms with my new hair. That’s why I had to write to you now and thank you and all the staff in your London studio for not only giving me back my hair but for giving me back my confidence. Every time I visit your staff are professional and courteous and I am treated like royalty. I would especially like to thank Ewa who always comes over with a smile to see that everything is ok, and Sarah the stylist, who coloured my hair so well last time and styled it so perfectly giving me tips and advice. They made me feel really special. My hair looks amazing and I truly don’t know where I would be without you all. I'm sure a lot of you are already using them so I'll just remind you again of the best way in which to use them. For those of you not using any of these products I advise you to get on board to make your hair look and feel amazing. The Masque Force Architecte should be used every time you wash your hair. This is a very nourishing masque especially for the Intralace and Real Hair Extensions. Make sure to towel dry as much of the water out of your hair before using the masque, once applied leave it in for about 10 – 15 minutes. Please make sure to always avoid the scalp area when using conditioning products. Take your soft black brush into the shower with you and brush through your hair to spread the masque evenly through the hair. Those of you with a Parting system must remember to condition right to the base of the parting, always avoiding your connections. The Elixir Ultime is a very versatile product. You can use it every day and it’s suited for all hair types. Towel dry your hair after washing it until its half dry. Add 2 pumps of the oil into the palm of your hand and smooth it into your hair. Blow dry as normal using your brush. The Elixir can also be used after you blow dry your hair to keep it looking smooth and frizz-free. You could also combine 1-2 pumps of the oil with some of the Masque Force Architecte to intensify the conditioning. hair feeling and looking soft and silky. Use this on your towel dried hair before you blow dry. You only need to use a 5p coin size of the serum and smear it evenly through your hair. I often mix my Elixir and Nectar Thermique together at this stage. Remember to always keep these products except for your shampoo away from your bonds and connections. These are my 3 favourite products so be sure to ask one of our Stylists about them if you are not already using them.  Lastly, I have one more favourite the Babyliss Big Hair. It will change the way you style your hair plus save you time. It’s a blow dryer brush that rotates, blowing out hot air and at the same time styling your hair just like they would at the salon. It rotates in both directions so you can flick the hair out and achieve most styles you like. The Babyliss Big Hair will cut your blow drying time in half and stop the painful cramping caused by holding your arms above your head.
